Oodle Mums App – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to the Oodle Mums App (“the App”), operated by Oodle Mums (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the App.

These Terms govern your use of the Oodle Mums App and any related services, including communications, events, and interactions that occur as a result of using the App.

2. About the Service

Oodle Mums is a community platform designed to help dog mums connect, share experiences, and arrange social meet-ups.

Oodle Mums:

  • provides the digital platform only,

  • does not organise, manage, or supervise in-person meetups, and

  • does not vet, monitor, or verify any user or their dog.

All meet-ups, communications, and interactions are undertaken solely at the discretion and risk of users.

 

3. Eligibility

To use the App, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;

  • have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements; and

  • be the rightful owner or caretaker of your dog.

By using the App, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
 

4. Safety for Users and Dogs

Your safety and your dog’s wellbeing are your responsibility.
By using this App, you agree to:

  1. Assess the safety and suitability of any meetup, event, or user before attending.

  2. Take reasonable precautions, including meeting in public places and informing someone of your plans.

  3. Supervise your dog at all times and ensure they are vaccinated, socialised, and under effective control.

  4. Accept all risks associated with interacting with other people and dogs.

Oodle Mums does not accept responsibility for any injury, illness, loss, or damage caused to or by your dog or any participant at any time.

5. Platform-Only Disclaimer

Oodle Mums is a connection platform, not a hosting or event organisation service.
We make no warranties or representations about the behaviour, safety, or suitability of any user, dog, or meetup.

We do not:

  • verify the identity, background, or conduct of users;

  • guarantee that any meetup is safe, lawful, or appropriate; or

  • provide professional supervision, advice, or vetting services.

All users participate in events and activities entirely at their own risk.

6. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

You acknowledge that participation in meetups, dog playdates, or social activities involves inherent risks, including personal injury, illness, property damage, or injury to your dog.

By using the App, you voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Oodle Mums, its owners, employees, affiliates, and partners are not liable for:

  • any injury, illness, loss, or damage to person, dog, or property, or

  • any claims or disputes arising from user interactions or attendance at catch-ups.
     

7. User Responsibilities

You agree that you will:

  • act respectfully and safely towards other users and their dogs;

  • comply with all applicable laws and council regulations regarding animal control and public spaces;

  • not use the App for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes; and

  • not post or share misleading, offensive, or inappropriate content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or act in a manner inconsistent with the community’s values of kindness and safety.

 

8. Event Hosts and Organisers

Users who create or host events through the App do so in a personal capacity.
They are not employees, representatives, or agents of Oodle Mums.
Oodle Mums accepts no responsibility for the actions, omissions, or conduct of any event host or participant.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oodle Mums, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • your use of the App,

  • your participation in any meetup or event, or

  • any act, omission, or conduct involving your dog or your interactions with others.


10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Oodle Mums shall not be liable for:

  • any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; or

  • any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses,
    arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

11. Privacy

We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at www.oodlemums.com.au/privacypolicy
By using the App, you consent to our collection and use of your information as outlined in that policy.

 

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms or acted in a way that may harm others or the integrity of the community.

 

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia for the resolution of any disputes arising under these Terms.
